Peterborough Food Map

Chef de la Maison’s campaign to achieve 100% local food map production is well underway!

In partnership with Flourish Peterborough, Chef de la Maison has been working hard to create menus and products which only support local.

This is defined by no more than 15 miles outside of Chef de la Maison’s commercial premises in Fengate Peterborough, Allia Cafe London Road Peterborough and The Grange Venue Netherton Peterborough. The 3 locations proudly make breads, cakes, savouries and beverages by hand with natural ingredients, zero refined sugar and local ingredients.

Check out the sustainability food map and see the great work Chef de la Maison’s catering team are putting in.

Waste not, want not! Since March 2024 chef de la Maison’s worm farms has been transforming eggs shells and organic food waste from their bakery and catering production into nutrient rich soil.

To complement this program of over 250.000 egg shells converted so far, we have added our barista team to The program. Meaning ALL coffee waste gets retained for the soil.

It’s a feel good sustainability program and we are improving rapidly. March 2026 is our target to have The Peterborough Plate 100% complete which means every item on our menu will be produced and made in Peterborough.

Look out for our next update on our CIC trustee Group led by Nathan, Sarah and Sanjay as Volunteers from Chef de la Maison. This organisation will provide community garden space to inspire, educate and improve space for growing herbs, fruits, vegetables and teas. It’s also a well being space, a project to help people’s well being and wellness. It’s a passion project just like Chef de la Maison’s own project to create gut healthy catering experiences which supports people to feel good.

This is why the sustainability food map is core to our mission and its growing and improving day by day.
