ABOUT US

ABOUT US

Established in Peterborough in 1998, Chef de la Maison has over 25 years of catering experience and has proudly served more than 3,200 weddings.

Today, we provide wedding catering, corporate hospitality, buffets, food trucks, barista services, venue catering, and community events across Peterborough and beyond. Our menus focus on handmade food, sustainability, local suppliers, gut health, and well-being.

Chef de la Maison is also a business with a purpose. Through Chef de la Maison Academy, we support young people aged 16–24 with hospitality training, real work experience, confidence, and employment pathways.

Every coffee served, every buffet prepared, and every event catered is part of something bigger: supporting local people, strengthening our community, and delivering soulful catering that gives back.

Creating Pathways Into Hospitality and Digital Skills.

At Chef de la Maison, we believe hospitality can create real opportunities for young people.

Through Chef de la Maison Academy, and in partnership with DWP and the Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Combined Authority, we provide structured work experience, paid internships, and hands-on training across hospitality, customer service, barista skills, food preparation, kitchen operations, line cooking, and digital skills.

Mohammed’s journey is a proud example of this work. He joined us through a DWP referral, progressed onto our paid internship programme, and within eight weeks secured full employment with Chef de la Maison as a line cook.

Alex is another success story, developing through DWP-supported training at Chef de la Maison and progressing into a barista and supervisor role. We are also supporting Marko and Connor through IT and digital training, helping them build practical skills for the modern workplace.

These journeys reflect our wider mission: to support young people, build confidence, develop practical skills, and create meaningful pathways into employment.
